SOUTH COUNTY SWIM SCHOOL FEES & PAYMENT
Effective March 15, 2009
- Annual Non–Refundable "Registration Fee" of $50 per FAMILY
- "Base Rate": $160 for up to 16½ hr small group (3–5) Lessons per student. ASK HOW this can be reduced.
- I ACCEPT PHONE REGISTRATION. DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS by CASH, CHECK, TRADE or MAJOR CREDIT CARD. Payment terms can be arranged so it doesn't all come out of one pay period. Lessons can be scheduled for either 2X/wk or 4X/wk. ADDITIONAL Lessons above 16 are REDUCED to $7 ea.
$. "EARLY BIRD" DISCOUNT: Rate for up to 16 Lessons is reduced to $128 with your Non–Refundable Deposit of $50 by March 15. These Checks & Credit Card transactions will be processed on about March 16.
$. "DECISIVENESS" INCENTIVE: $20 Credit applied toward your Account for NEW FAMILIES who can decide and pay non–refundable Deposit of $30 AND valid Cr Cd Info on file within 3 days (72 hrs) of your Initial Inquiry. If 3 days is insufficient time to make a decision, call me within this time period, and I can extend this deadline once. Your initial Deposit is preferred by Credit Card to validate the card, for which I waive the usual $5 per Credit Card Transaction Processing Fee.
$ ADDITIONAL LESSONS ABOVE INITIAL 16: ($7/Lesson) for more than the minimum 16 lessons taken in the Calendar Year.

- YARD SIGN(S): $5 if you place & maintain a Yard Sign between late April & Mid–June. You get an additional $5 for EACH New Student that registers (& pays) as a result of your sign(s)
$ GUARANTEED PROGRESS: After 15 Lessons Attended in the Season, if we don't see reasonably expected Progress, you get FREE Lessons until we do. (Usually 3–4 yr–olds who don't put their face in the water within the 15 lessons.)
$ FREE "Elite" Level (Str 2A & up) lessons after you've taken the 16 lessons until the end of the season. I want to keep you in the program to graduate THIS Year! It usually takes just a few more lessons to do so when you're that close. Grads Returning for a "tune up" are not required to commit to 16 lessons, and are charged only $7/lesson, and don't pay the Ann Reg Fee. Their lessons are on an "ad hoc", "Space Available" basis.

EXPECTATIONS: I want you to understand exactly what you can expect by getting involved in the South County Swim School Program and what will be expected of you:

I Use Private Home Backyard Pools: The home pool environment has advantages:

- Loving Firmness, Caring, Positive, Supportive, Developmentally Appropriate Instruction. Lots of Hugs, FUN, Songs & Games and excitement (especially for the younger ones).
- "Holistic" Teaching of Swim Skills w/ broad benefits in and out of the water
- Enhance Development in all areas: Self Esteem & Confidence building, Self–Control.
- SAFETY is always of PRIME Importance and Water Safety Instruction is integrated into all lessons at all levels.
- I emphasize & build on a solid foundation of BASICS: Water Adjustment & Fear Mastery, Comfort & Fun, Breath Control, Positions. I teach "from the Known to the Related Unknown".
- No Forcing, Pushing, Shaming, Pressure or negative feedback for lack of Progress. No "Failing" tests, only praise & encouragement for whatever effort & progress is seen. I try for maximum results in minimum time-something "easy" & something "challenging" for each child each lesson. I try, within your limits of availability to place each child in the best group for him at each lesson. This often results in time changes. At least I make every effort to keep him on the same days.
- However, I do enforce minimum & reasonable behavior, Control & Safety rules. This is very difficult for some active enthusiastic children, but it is also part of the "educational" process. For some children the swim lessons are their 1st "disciplined" experience.
There are innumerable possible individual situations, some of which are covered in the "FEE SCHEDULE" Handout you receive in your Packet.
